化合物简介
1-Bromo-2,3-dimethyl-benzene is a useful synthetic intermediate. It is used as a reagent to synthesize vaniprevir. It can also be used to synthesize various piperidine derivatives, e.g., 4-arylpiperidines and cinnamoylpiperidine, which are 5-HT2C agonist and PAR1 antagonist, respectively.

生产方法
在装有搅拌、回流管、温度计的3L四口瓶中加入邻二甲苯106g(1mol)和107mL(1.97mol)98%的浓硫酸,然后搅拌加热于100℃反应1.5h,冷却至室温。加入1500mL水搅拌溶解后,在搅拌下用473g水合氢氧化钡与750mL水的碱液中和至pH7。趁热过滤,将滤液倒入3L三口瓶中,在搅拌下于50~60℃加入溴素192g(1.2mol)、溴化钡200g,水700mL,并于50~60℃搅拌反应15h。然后冷却,过滤,用水200mL×2洗涤,真空干燥,得3-溴-邻二甲苯磺酸钡盐约231g,收率69%。 用做有机合成中间体。
