Methyl tetracosanoate is a derivative of Tetracosanoic acid. Methyl tetracosanoate is part of a group of fatty acid compounds, extracted from the flower Hypericum scabrum, that possess natural antioxidant & antimicrobial activity. Methyl tetracosanoate is also the active biomolecule in the methanolic extract of Costus pictus, exhibiting optimum anti-diabetic and anti-adipogenic activity in humans.
