1,2-O-Dihexadecyl-sn-glycerol is used to prepare toll-like Receptor-2 Agonistic Diacylthioglycerol Lipopeptides. It is also used to syntheisze phospholipid analogs and evaluation as phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase inhibitors.
