2-(4-Bromophenoxy)-ethanol is a useful synthetic intermediate. It was used in the synthesis of lithium 2-(4-lithiophenoxy)ethoxide. It was also used to prepare aryl-substituted diazabicyclononenecarboxamides as potent renin inhibitors.
