2-(Perfluorohexyl)ethane-1-sulfonic Acid, is used in the preparation of fluorinated surfactants, with a fluorocarbon chain as the hydrophobic group, which has shown to have high efficiency in reducing the surface tension as well as good oil and water repellency properties.
