4-Bromobutyric Acid is used in the preparation of analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents as nitroalkyl ethers. It is also used in the synthesis of Autotaxin (ENPP2) inhibitors, used in tissue fibrosis regulation, cancer cell invasion and metastasis.
